Child Safety Standards
Last updated 2026-09-30
Glimmer has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion and any sexualisation of minors.
Standards
- Glimmer is for adults (18+). Minors are not allowed to use it.
- Any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child is prohibited in human chats and in AI chats.
- AI characters are instructed never to produce sexual content involving minors, and their replies are screened automatically before they are shown.
How to report
- In the app: open the chat menu and choose Report, then Child safety. The report keeps a copy of the conversation as evidence for review.
- By email: childsafety concerns can be sent to [email protected] with the subject "Child safety". This is also our designated point of contact for CSAE matters.
What we do
- Child safety reports are reviewed first.
- We end the conversation, ban the device from Glimmer and keep the evidence for the authorities.
- We report apparent CSAM to the relevant authorities as the law requires, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where it applies, and we cooperate with law enforcement requests.
Laws we follow
We comply with applicable child safety laws in every country where Glimmer is offered.
